Patients of practices in the Three Lochs Medical strategic alliance have access to a Women's Health Clinic.
These clinics run run around once a month in each location (less often in Furnace). This clinic is already up and running in Strachur.
These Women's Health Clinics are open to all patients living in Argyll and Bute, not just patients registered at our practice.
These Women's Health Clinics are overseen by Dr Alison MacBeth, who is a GP who works in Women's Health and an NHS Breast Clinic full time, and Dr Jenni Leigh.
The Women's Health clinics can provide the following services:
- Coils (insertion, checks, and removal)
- Contraceptive implants and injections (insertion and removal)
- Vaginal pessaries
In addition patients can access Menopause services, although due to funding issues this is only available to patients registered with one of the practices in the strategic alliance.
